The study assessed healthcare workers’ knowledge, attitude, and preparedness by recruiting 455 respondents across Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, and Rangpur towards Nipah Virus management and infection prevention through multistage sampling. This was a crucial study aiming to assess the readiness of healthcare facilities to combat periodic outbreaks of the Nipah virus and identify any existing gaps.
This study investigated the prevalence of PTSD among Bangladeshi frontline healthcare workers during COVID-19, finding higher rates among doctors and those who had previously been infected with COVID-19. The study also found that job stressors like lack of benefits increased the risk of PTSD, highlighting the need for better support.
