Associate Professor, Dr Md Rafiqul Islam is currently working as the Director of Research at Goulburn Valley Health (GV Health), Shepparton, Victoria with the primary portfolios of research and trials management, research, ethics, research and related clinical governance, research education, supervision and mentoring. He is an Adjunct Assocaite Professor of Rural Health School, LaTrobe University, and an Honarary Senior Fellow, Department of Rural Health, The University of Melbourne, Shepparton, Victoria, Australia. He has significant experience in leadership and management, serving as the strategic leader for clinical research with contemporary and relevant information, and legislative requirements, and substantially experienced in establishing research services from greenfield initiatives and implement changes. A/Prof Islam studied MBBS from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh; Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Melbourne, VIC, Australia; Ph.D. in Community Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia; AFRACMA (Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators ) from the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) and received MFPH (Member of the Faculty of Public Health) from the FPH (Faculty of Public Health), Royal Colleges of Physician, UK.
