Miah Md. Akiful Haque

Miah Md Akiful Haque is a public health researcher and PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia’s School of Population & Global Health. His doctoral work examines autism spectrum disorder in Bangladesh—covering contributing factors, health-related quality of life, and economic burden. He has authored 15 publications spanning epidemiology, communicable diseases, vaccine acceptance, and quality-of-life outcomes, and has presented at international conferences. Akiful serves as an advisor to the Public Health Promotion & Development Society (PPDS) and previously worked as a Senior Clinical AI Specialist at Augmedix. He is supported by a UWA International Fee Scholarship and an Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) stipend. Research interests include epidemiology, vaccines, autism spectrum disorder, occupational health, and public-health interventions.
