Awareness about HPV vaccine and its socio-economic determinants among parents of eligible daughters in Bangladesh- Result from a nationwide survey.

Awareness about HPV vaccine and its socio-economic determinants among parents

This study aimed to determine the level of awareness about the Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine among Bangladeshi nationals. The findings revealed that only 22.32% of parents are aware of the HPV vaccine. The study also showed that urban residents, job holders, and people who undergo regular health check-ups are more likely to be informed about the vaccine. Therefore, awareness campaigns are necessary to increase knowledge among parents of eligible girls.
